Music video production

During summer semester 2018 I taught at the Berlin University of the Arts and lead a music video course together with two other video production specialists, Andreas Hofstetter und Elias Asisi.
The course focused on the production of music videos, offering students a hands-on experience in music video creation from concept to final edit. Collaborating with students from different universities, the course provided a unique opportunity to work with diverse perspectives and backgrounds, enhancing the creativity and quality of the final product.
We had the pleasure of bringing together a diverse group of over 45 students from various universities in Berlin who were all passionate about music and video production. To help them fulfil their creative vision, we introduced them to over 30 talented artists who were equally excited to collaborate on a music video project.
The students were tasked with selecting three songs that inspired them, and from there, we guided them through every step of the production process. From brainstorming the concept & treatment to managing multiple shooting days, we were there every step of the way to ensure their vision came to life.
Producing a music video can be a daunting task, but we were blown away by the students' enthusiasm and dedication to creating something truly special. Whether it was coordinating with the artists, scouting for the perfect location, or handling animals on set, the students tackled each challenge with a can-do attitude.
In the end, the project was a resounding success. So far the video has more than 11 Mio. views on YouTube. We hope that the students experience working on this project has inspired them to continue pursuing their creative passions.
All music videos produced in this course had their premiere at the fsk–Kino, Oranienplatz.
Eisblock – A 3D rendering of the larger-than-life ice block with the chiseled '1220'.
The concept, implementation and production were created under the direction of Andreas Hofstetter, Stefan Reineke and Elias Asisi.
